## About No More Chores

No More Chores is a referral platform that connects customers seeking residential cleaning services with experienced, vetted independent cleaning professionals. By booking with us, you agree to the policies below.

## Quotes and Pricing

Our flat-rate prices are based on assumptions about the level of cleanliness and effort required, depending on the number of bedrooms/bathrooms or square footage of your home. We assume the home is in reasonable condition.

A walk-through will be conducted on the day of your cleaning. We reserve the right to adjust the price if, upon arrival, it becomes clear that the work cannot be completed within the estimated time. You will be given the option to pay for extra time or to specify the priorities you'd like us to complete within the time available.

Our estimates are based on industry averages for your home size. Choosing less cleaning time than recommended may limit what the cleaners can cover. They will prioritize based on your list and cover as much as possible within the time booked.

You agree to book based on your accurate home size (actual number of bedrooms/bathrooms and/or square footage) and current condition. We verify home size using public sources and an on-site inspection. If the home size booked does not match the actual size, we will contact you to advise of any additional cost.

## Time Limits

A time limit specifies the maximum approved time cleaners may work, expressed in labour hours. Since one-time jobs are quoted without a prior inspection, your job might exceed the estimated time. Cleaners will not exceed your time limit without your consent — please keep your phone accessible.

If an extension is needed and we cannot reach you, cleaners will stop at the maximum budgeted time, even if the job is not finished, to respect your price limit. For flat-fee jobs, if conditions require more extensive cleaning than average, your cleaner may propose a revised flat fee or switch to an hourly rate.

## Scheduling and Cancellations

Once you've made an appointment, we hold that time exclusively for you. Please note:

- **48 hours' notice** is required to cancel or reschedule without charge. We kindly ask for as much notice as possible.
- Cancellations with **less than 24 hours' notice** will be charged 100% of the agreed rate.
- We strongly recommend providing a lockbox or door code, as your scheduled cleaning time may occasionally change.
- Rescheduled appointments are subject to availability.

This Agreement may be terminated by the Customer by providing at least 24 hours' notice prior to the Service Time. No More Chores may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect if the Customer breaches this Agreement.

## Payment and Pre-Authorization

A hold will be placed on your account (for authorization) in the amount of your total balance the evening prior to your scheduled cleaning. This hold is **not a charge**. Charging is completed after your appointment, and you will receive an invoice via email once complete.

Note: Some card issuers display a pre-authorization as a charge on your statement — this is misleading, as no funds are captured until after service is rendered. If your service is cancelled, this hold will be released within 5–10 business days.

## What We Don't Clean

Our teams do not clean the following:

- High levels of trash or debris (hoarding situations)
- Animal waste
- Insect or rodent infestations
- Excessive mold
- Bodily fluids
- Lightbulbs and glass fixtures
- Areas not reachable within three steps on a ladder

## Furniture and Heavy Items

Our cleaners do not use tall ladders (no more than 3 steps) or move heavy furniture. The maximum item weight is 25 lbs. Moving heavy items risks back injury to our team and potential damage to your home (e.g., scratches on hardwood floors).

If you would like us to clean behind appliances (refrigerators, ovens, sofas, or other furniture), please move them prior to the cleaning visit to allow access.

## Additional Services

Please do not request that your cleaner clean any additional areas or services not included in your booking confirmation (such as a finished basement, inside the fridge, or inside windows) without contacting our office first. All changes must go through the office — cleaners are not authorized to agree to changes on-site.

Please make any requests by **5 pm the day before** your scheduled cleaning, if possible. Additional services requested without prior office approval will be billed accordingly.

## Utilities

We need electricity, working heating/air conditioning, and water to perform your service. If utilities are turned off upon arrival, we can reschedule and will charge a **$200 non-refundable travel fee**. If you opt to cancel instead, the full amount of your cleaning will be forfeited.

## 🔒 Valuables and Personal Belongings

**Please secure or remove any fragile, delicate, breakable, or valuable items before your cleaning visit.** This includes:

- Cash
- Jewelry and watches
- Works of art or antiques
- Items of sentimental value
- Any item you would be distressed to have damaged or misplaced

Our cleaners are vetted professionals, but we strongly recommend taking this precaution as a standard practice. No More Chores is not liable for loss or damage to items that were not secured prior to service.

## Damage Reporting

We take property damage seriously and want to resolve any issues quickly and fairly.

**If you believe damage occurred during your service:**

1. Contact us within **48 hours** of your cleaning at mike@nomorechores.com or 647-490-2523
2. Include photos of the damage and a description of what you found
3. We will acknowledge your report within 1 business day and follow up within 3 business days with a resolution

We investigate all damage reports thoroughly. Our cleaners are required to document and report any damage they observe — before and during a clean — as a condition of working with us.

**Liability:**
No More Chores' liability for property damage is limited to the lesser of: (a) the actual repair or replacement cost of the damaged item, or (b) the total value of the cleaning service in which the damage occurred. We are not liable for damage to items not disclosed prior to service, items that were not secured per our valuables policy, or pre-existing damage.

## Skip Fees (Recurring Customers)

If you need to skip a scheduled cleaning, please give us as much notice as possible. The following policies apply to recurring customers who skip a visit:

- **Weekly customers:** If you skip and do not reschedule within 1 week of your original appointment, your next cleaning will be charged at the biweekly rate.
- **Biweekly customers:** If you skip and do not reschedule within 1 week of your original appointment, your next cleaning will be charged at the triweekly rate.
- **Triweekly customers:** If you skip and do not reschedule within 1 week of your original appointment, your next cleaning will be charged at the monthly rate.
- **Monthly customers:** If you skip and do not reschedule within **2 weeks** of your original appointment, your next cleaning will be priced as a one-time clean rather than at the recurring monthly rate.

These adjustments reflect the additional time and effort required when a home has gone longer between cleanings than the original pricing assumed.

## Non-Solicitation

When retaining No More Chores, you agree not to solicit or hire any cleaner introduced to you by No More Chores for any home-related services, during or after your relationship with us.

Our cleaners sign agreements barring them from performing services directly for our customers. If you are found to have solicited one of our cleaners, our referral fee is **$5,000 per staff member**.

## Privacy

Any information provided by you may be used by No More Chores for the purpose of providing your service. We will not share your information with any third party not directly involved in providing your service (unless required by law). We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
