- Tax accountant told her NOT to file Canadian returns while PR was pending (due to complications seen in similar cases)
- PR is in process via boyfriend sponsorship — applied via "Outside Sponsorship" (Outland) while she was in Brazil
- Currently in Brazil (explains why Outland/outside sponsorship)
- This is GOOD news: if she's a tax resident (not non-resident), Reg 105 withholding issue goes away
- Maurizio's advice still stands: get formal docs from her (SIN, work permit copy, tax filing history)
