- 2026-04-17: Ran daily YNAB categorization for the family budget joint chequing accounts.
- Categorized and approved: Elexicon Energy to Utilities - 16th, McDonald's already categorized to Eating out/Restaurants, Overdraft Handling Fee already categorized to Interest & Fees.
- Left unapproved/uncategorized: Amex transfer from Joint Chequing – 5322 (true transfer with transfer_account_id), and Online Transfer to Deposit Account-0590 from Joint Chequing – 5322, which appears to match an internal inflow to Joint Chequing 2 but is not linked in YNAB.
- 2026-04-18: Checked both joint chequing accounts again. No unapproved transactions were present, so nothing needed categorization or approval.
- 2026-04-19: Checked both joint chequing accounts again. No unapproved transactions were present, so nothing needed categorization or approval.
- 2026-04-21 11:00am: Checked both joint chequing accounts again. No unapproved transactions were present, so nothing needed categorization or approval.
- 2026-04-22 11:00am: Checked both joint chequing accounts and found 8 unapproved transactions.
- Categorized `American Eagle Outfitters` to `Clothing`.
- Categorized `Visa Debit correction - 2057 WWW.SPORTCHEK.C` to `Gifts` as a refund that exactly offset the two same-day Sport Chek gift purchases.
- Approved all 8 categorized transactions, including Apple, Sport Chek, ParkEdIn, and Starbucks items that were already categorized.
- No uncategorized transfers or low-confidence items remained.
- Open follow-up: watch for future unmatched internal transfers between the two joint chequing accounts.
